Domestic partner status change (after-tax and pre-tax)
If you would like to make changes to your benefits for a domestic partner or your domestic partner's child, complete the following steps within the required timeline:
Step 1: Report your life event to Crew Central™ and submit your benefit election changes. Follow the steps in the “View and change benefits” job aid, selecting Domestic Partner Status Change (After-Tax DP) or Domestic Partner Status Change (Pre-Tax DP) as the Benefit Event Type.
Note: You cannot make a Domestic Partner Status Change (Pre-Tax DP) throughout the year unless you experience a permitted election change. Any discrepancies must be reported in writing to Crew Central within 14 business days.
Step 2: Provide acceptable proof of the qualified event. Obtain copies of the required forms and supporting documentation (refer to Domestic partner benefits for more information) and submit to Crew Central within 30 days of the date you submit your status change. Include your name and crew ID.
- Electronically: You will be prompted to attach and submit your documentation to a Crew Central case after reporting your life event.
- By interoffice mail: Crew Central, Mailport M20.
- By U.S. mail: Vanguard, Attn: Crew Central, Mailport M20, P.O. Box 2600, Valley Forge, PA 19482-2600.
The following chart details what benefits changes a crew member may make after experiencing a change in domestic partner status.
Health care coverage (medical, dental, prescription, and vision)

|Spousal life insurance||Increase election by one increment or decrease election, subject to Evidence of Insurability (EOI) rules.|

|Dependent care subsidy program||Apply for the subsidy if you elect or have a dependent care FSA. Gross household income limits apply. Refer to the Dependent Day Care Subsidy Program for more information.|
